Frankenstein: Illustrated by Sophie Atkinson is a richly imagined, hardback edition of Mary Shelley’s iconic novel, brought to life through over fifteen original illustrations that explore the psychological terror, Gothic atmosphere, and emotional depth of the story. Each image is crafted in a textured, semi-abstract style inspired by traditional lino printing, blending classic horror aesthetics with contemporary design.

This first edition is the culmination of my Master’s degree final project, created to push the boundaries of narrative illustration. From the cover design to the layout and illustrations, every element of the book has been carefully designed and produced by me to honour the dark beauty of Shelley’s writing.

The book is formatted in a 6x9 inch US Royal size, featuring a 3D UV foiled cover, a black ribbon bookmark, and premium-quality paper stock. This preorder is for the collector’s edition hardback—ideal for readers, horror fans, and illustration lovers alike.
